You may have visited Dublin many times before but not taken the time to experience the wonderful history that our capital city has to offer.
If you have never visited Dublin before this is the perfect way to learn all about our ancient history and indeed our more recent past.
Your personal walking tour guide will meet you at your hotel or other chosen location in the city centre and take you on a journey through Ireland’s history. You will visit Trinity College, The House of Lords, Temple Bar, Four Courts, Medieval and Viking Dublin including the areas around Christ Church and St Patricks Cathedral, City Hall, Dublin Castle, Grafton Street, The Mansion House and St Stephen’s Green. You will learn about the 1916 rising, the potato famine and hear stories about colourful heroes and famous creative characters like James Joyce.
This tour takes up to 2 ½ hours and can be tailored to meet you or your groups interests. Cost: €190 for up to 6 people
If you are staying outside of Dublin city we would be happy to arrange one of drivers to collect you and take to you to the city to meet your guide. Dalkey and Killiney Hill – South Coast Dublin Walking Tour:
If you would like to experience the beautiful south coast of Dublin why not avail of our private transfer service from Dublin city to Dalkey where you will drive along the coast before meeting your walking tour guide or alternatively take the Dart from the city to Dalkey and your guide will meet you at the station when you arrive.
This tour includes a walk along Castle street where you can visit Dalkey Castle and Heritage centre and also see some of the lovely pubs, shops and cafes that Dalkey has to offer. Grab a take away coffee before continuing on to Coliemore Road, where you can stop at Coliemore Harbour to view Dalkey Island. Your guide will tell you all about the Martello tower dating back to 1800 and the other historical sites located here. You will also visit the Vico Road where you have wonderful views of the Wicklow Mountains, Killiney Bay and Dalkey Island. Vico Road is also the home to many famous Irish names such as Bono and Enya. Your walk will continue up to Killiney Village at the top of the hill where your guide will tell you about the obelisk built in the 1700s from here you will have amazing views of Dublin city and some time to relax before walking back to Dalkey village railway station with your guide or if you prefer your driver can collect your from Killiney for your transfer back to the city.
